Standards for Quality Submissions
Learning objects submitted to Adventist Educator Spiritual Resources will be reviewed using the following standards, as applicable (not all fit every resource type):
- Builds on the Adventist biblical worldview, integrating faith in learning
- Aligns with the NAD Journey 2 Excellence Preferred Practices
- Reflects sound educational research, theory and practice
- Encourages lifelong, holistic, service-oriented learning
- Aligns vocabulary/reading level with target learner level
- Format appropriate/attractive to target level
- Organized and easy to use by target level
- Depth of content suitable for learning object purpose and target level
- Breadth of content suitable to learning object purpose and target level
- Encourages higher order thinking
- Promotes reflection on learning experience/process
- Addresses the individuality of learners
- Considers the social/relational basis of learning
- Connects to current Adventist curriculum objectives for target level and region
- Describes the purpose/context succinctly
- Provides clear goals/objectives/intended learning outcomes
- Links outcomes, activities, and content clearly
- Includes implementation helps/motivational strategies
- Identifies additional teacher resource or support services
- Incorporates appropriate assessments or suggestions for assessment
- Encourages collaboration by providing author contact information
